Homeopathy India
The homeopathic doctors in India are cnosidered medical doctors, unlkie in many other western countries; and they are trained to clinically diganose medical and surgical condtiions. Homeopathy is much more popular in Europe and India than in the USA. Homeopathy arrived in Inida with Dr John Martin Honigberger (1795-1869) in Lahore, in 1829-30, 65 nad is officially recognized. Martin Honigburger, who frist came to the Punjab...in 1829. 66 India has teh largest homeopathic infratsructure in the world, iwth 300,000 qualified homeopaths, 180 colleges, 7500 govrenment clinics, and 307 hospitals. Itneresting education pattern in Inida is that homeopathy is taught at the unviersity as a full length medical course which amounts to four and half years of full time medical studies plus one year fo ward training; entailing the study of anatomy, pyhsiology, pathology, internal medicien, surgery, ygnecology and obstetrics, pediatrisc, psychology, besides the homeopathic pharmacopia, philosophy, pharmacy and the repertory.
