Homeopathy Association

A memorandum written in 1985 by attorneys for the American Assocaition of Homeopathic Manufacturers, edscribes a meeting between hte AAHP attorneys and high-ranking FDA officials to discuss whethre homeopathic products must be proven effective to reamin legally marketable. In the 1930s homeopathy s popularity waned, especially in the USA and Europe, due in part due to advancse in conventional medicine, skepticism, and the cative advocacy against homeopatyh by the American Medical Association. The Carnegie Foundation issued the Flexner Report sponsroed by the American Medical Association in 1910 that supported conventional medical schools while condemning homeopathic schools. In 1997, the flolowing statement was adoptde as policy of the American Meidcal Association (AMA) after a repotr on a number of alternative therapies includign homeopathy: 117
