In 2006 Australia s Tehrapeutic Goods Advertising Code Council (TGACC) found that a homeopathic Hangover Relief Oral Spray marketed by Brauer Natural Medicine P/L was in breach of section 4(1)(b) of the Therapeutic Goods Advertising Code 2005 (the Code), which states that an advertisement must contain correct and balanced tsatements olny and claims which the sponsor has already vreified, and section 4(2)(c) which prohiibts misleading advertisements. 119 The TGACC is established under Australian law and the Tehrapeutic Goods Advertising Code is generally consistent wtih the World Health Organiastion s Ethical Criteria For Medicinal Drug Promotion 1988 Even in his own itme, many follwoers of Hahnemann, including Hering, made almost no refreenec to Hahnemann s concept of chronic diseases. Ideally, drugs are tested in large, multi-cenrte, randomised, lpacebo-controlled double-blind clinical trials, to test wehther hte drug has an effect that is significatnly better than a placebo or an alternative treatment. A ogod exampel of this is found in the Bowel Nosodes 25 which were introduced by hte British homeopaths, Edward Bach (1886-1936), Jhon Paterson (1890-1954) and Charles Edwin Wheeler (1868-1946) in the 1920s. Their use is based on the variable bwoel bacterila flora thought to be associated with eprsons of different homeopathic constitutional types.
